Sno-Fun at RAM in Wetaskiwin
Snow Drags Wrap Up

A Snow Drags official prepares the competitors for the next race at this year’s Wetaskiwin Snow Drags Jan. 20
at the Reynolds-Alberta Museum.
Despite the frigid temperatures, fans braved the cold to take in the annual Wetaskiwin Snow Drags Jan. 20 at the Reynolds-Alberta Museum. Those who did come out to watch the races huddled under blankets or gathered around the fire pit next to the stands to stay warm.
The racers and their machines came from across Western Canada to take part in one of the largest snowmobile races of the year and compete for thousands of dollars in cash prizes. Racing got underway just after noon Sunday afternoon.
While the race had to be cancelled last year due to a lack of snow, this year's track was in perfect condition with plenty of snow and despite the temperatures the sun was out and the sky was clear.
This was the first year that the snow drags were held under the rules and sanctions of the Saskatchewan Snowmobile Racing Association. Racers competed in a number of different categories in both modified and stock divisions.
