Black Gold Health Foundation completes AED Machine Project
LEDUC - Black Gold Health Foundation, the fundraising arm of Leduc Community Hospital and area health facilities, recently completed the purchase of five AED (Automated External Defibrillator) machines, complete with accessory packs, valued at over $2,500 each. These machines are vital when making timely responses to cardiac arrest situations. The Public Health Centres of Beaumont, Leduc, and Thorsby will each be equipped with one device, with the additional two going to the Leduc Community Hospital.
The funding of this project was made possible through the support of groups such as the Ladies Auxilary to the Royal Canadian Legion #108, Leduc, and the Leduc Lions Breakfast Club, along with additional funds raised by the Foundation.
The Black Gold Health Foundation works toward the enhancement of health care services in Leduc and area. For those that would like to support healthcare in their community, either financially or by volunteering, please contact the Foundation office at 780-980-4536 or email: blackgold@albertahealthservices.ca. “You can help us to help those we care for.”
