PAUL T. BREITKREUZ

October 29, 1936 - February 23, 2013

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our loving father and grandfather, Paul T. Breitkreuz at the age of 76.
Paul entered into Eternity on February 23, 2013, now sitting at the feet of our loving Lord and Saviour. Praise God!
Paul was born on the family homestead, six miles from Falun, on October 29, 1936. He did his schooling at Falun, but soon was working on the farm, and remained a farmer throughout all of his life, even after retiring in 1991! "Old farmers never die, they just go to seed." He also built many houses and construction projects with his long time friends, Rudy Weidmer and Morley Schultz (RPM Construction).
Paul is survived by his wife of 55 years, Angelina, whom he loved dearly; eight children and their families: Terry and Maureen (Megan and Erika), Brenda and Brian Belton (Jennifer, Matthew and their dad, Orville), Debbie and Darcy Cates (Valerie and Miranda), Randy and Charlene (Kolton, Holly and their mom, Jody), Robyn and Helene (Cashton, Kaylee and their mom, Jackie), Darcey and Sherry, Shelley and special friend Michael, Laurie and her son, Noah, ‘Cookie Monster’ (and his dad, Kandrix); three sisters, Erna and special friend, Al, Esther and John, Ida and Don; two brothers, Robert and Johanna, Walter and Doreen as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, great-grandchildren, dear friends and many in-laws and out-laws!
Paul was predeceased by his father, Theodore (1975); mother, Olga (2001); son-in-law, Peter Rotteau (1989); brother-in-law, Marvin Dargatz (1990) and other family members and loved ones whom he is now with in glory.
Funeral service was held at Baker Funeral Chapel on Wednesday, March 6, 2013 with Pastor Glenn Breitkreuz officiating. Interment has taken place at the Wetaskiwin Memorial Cemetery. In Paul’s memory, donations are gratefully accepted to Canadian Cancer Society, Alberta   Diabetes Foundation or the Stollery Children’s Hospital Foundation.
