Robbery Gang Members Sought in Increasingly Violent Robberies

RCMP are presently investigating another bank robbery which occurred on Thursday January 18th, 2011 believed to involve Franklin Gladue and accomplices. Gladue's accomplices are known to the police however can't be named at this time as they are young offenders. A description of these youths is as follows:

Youth #1 Native male 5' 10" to 6' 00" tall with a slim build approximately 150 lbs born in 1995. He has a scar on his mouth under his lip and is a local from the Kehiwin First Nations.

Youth #2 Native male 5' 10" to 6' 01" tall with a medium build approximately 183 lbs born in 1994. Short black hair and brown eyes and may be wearing glasses. He is from the Samson Reserve.

The police are pleading for the public's assistance for information leading to the arrest of Franklin Gladue and the other individuals who are committing these robberies. The RCMP are very concerned as the level of violence has apparently been increasing at each robbery. These individual are to be considered as armed and dangerous and the public are asked to call any law enforcement agency with information about these criminals as it is very important for the safety of the public to have these persons arrested as soon as possible. A sawed-off shot gun has been present at all of the robberies along with a variety of other weapons.

The latest robbery saw a female teller get physically assaulted even though she was cooperating with the gang's demands.

BACKGROUND: - 2011 JAN 19

Arrests warrants have been issued for a male believed to be responsible for 2 armed bank robberies. RCMP are seeking Franklin William Gladue, 34 years old from the Edmonton area. He is believed to be in the Edmonton area.

He is described as Aboriginal, 6 feet tall, 240 lbs, Black hair and brown eyes. He has a number of tattoos including a picture of a clown on his left upper arm, the word "Eternal" on his right sleeve and the words "Solid Brother" and "F.G." on his left abdomen.

He is facing a number of charges as a result of two armed bank robberies in Bonneyville and Lac La Biche:

Robbery with a firearm x 2
Disguise with Intent to Commit and Indictable Offence x 2
Pointing a firearm x 2

He is to be considered to be armed and dangerous. Should members of the public have information on the whereabouts of Franklin Gladue they should immediately contact their local police agency.
